Who we are

Darts Rating is published by Dorian Fanet (Entreprise individuelle, France), who is the data controller. Contact: support@darts-rating.com.

What we collect

Account: your email address and, if you sign in with a password, a hash of it (never the password itself). If you sign in with Google or Apple, the identifier and name they send us, and a copy of the profile picture they send when the account is created (you can change or remove it).

Player profile: the player name you choose and, if you add one, a profile picture.

Game data: the darts recorded in your matches and practice, results, statistics derived from them, your rating, and your club and tournament participation.

Trusted players: if you choose to trust a player, the fact that you do. It is visible to you only, you can remove it from your account page at any time, and it is deleted with your account or theirs.

Guests: a name typed by whoever records the game. Guests have no account and no contact details.

Technical: our hosting providers keep short-lived server logs that include IP addresses. We use them for security and rate limiting only.

The mobile app stores your games on your device until they are uploaded.

What we do not do

No advertising, no analytics trackers, no selling or sharing of data for marketing, no location, contacts or microphone access. The app opens your photo library only when you choose a profile picture, and keeps only the picture you picked.

What is public

Darts Rating is a competitive service: your player name, profile picture, match results, statistics and rating are visible to anyone, like a published league table. Your email address is never shown.

Why we use your data

To provide the service you signed up for (scoring, history, statistics, rankings, tournaments): performance of a contract. To keep it secure and prevent abuse: legitimate interest.

Who processes it for us

Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in the EU, Ireland). Vercel (website and API hosting; API functions run in Dublin, static content is served worldwide). Resend (sending account emails). Google and Apple, only if you choose to sign in with them.

Some of these providers are based in the United States; transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

Until you delete your account. Deleting it removes your email, sign-in details, player name and profile picture at once. Your practice is deleted with it. Your matches stay in your opponents' history under the name “Deleted player”, with nothing that identifies you.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict its use. You can change your name and delete your account yourself in the app or at darts-rating.com/account. For anything else write to support@darts-rating.com.

You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).

Children

The service is not directed at children. In France, under 15s need a parent's consent to create an account.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will say so on this page and, where appropriate, in the app.
